So I guess it's pretty safe to assume that they won't release a demo playthrough or anything before E3. It's also a good assumption that, if they don't show anything at E3, they have some serious problems.
They have the costume and the bow. They'll probably get some underwear model guy to put them on and strut around, occasional speaking with NuBatman (
www.youtube.com/watch?v=seBpXt8_6xs) gargling marbles voice.

Oh cool. Thanks for the heads up sterlino.
Alright. The only ones of their (
http://www.nixxes.com/nixxes/projects) PC-ports I've played are DXHR, Tomb Raider: Underworld and Lara Croft and the Guardian Of Light. They performed well and didn't crash IIRC. I'm sure we can expect a solid PC port.

So that means it's being developed specifically for consoles and then ported to the PC by a second party?
Briareos H on 6/6/2013 at 23:59
It was always going to be that way, they did the same with DX:HR. The port was technically good, but didn't remove the feeling of being in front of a TV-friendly interface complying to the Technical Certification Requirements for Xbox games. Thief's interface is so minimal that this shouldn't be a problem in theory (though I do not know the detail of the TCRs, if anyone does please PM me), but I have the nagging feeling that they're going to find a way to clutter that up.

They've told us they are building primarily for PC, but it won't matter either way if the design choices are rooted in the console culture, what sells there, etc.

Or maybe it won't matter because you aren't going to play it.

Or maybe you should get off his back and stop bashing everyone who sees the clear signs that the game is not being developed the way we wanted Thief 4 to be developed? How many clearly bad decisions do they need to announce for you to get it trough your head that some of us are so passionate about this series that we really can't stand announcements like SR not being Garrett, forced 3D takedowns, Focus Mode, shadow dashing and a console game ported to PC when they specifically SAID the PC version would be coded for PC.

And yeah, it will matter for many reasons outside of playing the game. But again, this has already been mentioned. Thanks for continuing to bring up the same arguments over and over, since it serves The Cause nicely, allowing us to make sure there's less convenient forgetfulness among the people who need to never forget it.
