I personally don't like to make decisions for other people or put them in a certain group or mindset. Freedom rules, tyranny doesn't. :p
Its just an idea for those fans who also enjoy blogging.... There may be some people on this forum who might be interested, so just sharing. :)

I really don't wish to participate in this NuThief vs OldThief political labelling nonsense. I'm a veteran fan but still very interested and open-minded about the new game. I'm not a blogger, but if I were and frequented this forum, I would be interested in this information.
Just as some very new fans may not know about the older games or the astounding fan missions available to play, we share information from TTLG with them on the Eidos boards.
This is just the simple sharing of information. :)

That's pretty much what it sounds like to me, too. I also don't understand why those who wish to start their own Thief site are required to consult with b1skit? Whatever. The whole thing just sounds like more free advertising for EM and T4. Just like EM continues to get free promo work here at TTLG. And like any other corporation that's selling something, EM will try every trick and gimmick in the book to promote their games.

speculation here, but it really only follows, don'tcha think?). I think perhaps there should be a disclaimer of sorts in that little bit of EM promo; that the kit is intended for anyone wanting to start a THI4F site, not a
Thief site. At least, that's how the initial ad reads to me.

Once again, I agree. You can call it 'Thief' all you'd like, but whether it actually plays, feels, and sounds like a Thief game will be up to the Taffer playing it. Just naming the game 'Thief' and calling the main protagonist 'Garrett' doesn't automatically mean it will be so to those who choose to play that game (though it's not the only decision-maker for me, the fact that EM has hired someone to
impersonate Stephen Russell as the voice of Garrett still doesn't sit well with me ..... at
all and definitely - imo - takes a LOT of Thief out of T4 automatically). Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and not everyone is enthralled with the news and information that has been forthcoming to date regarding T4. It's the right of those who are skeptical and apprehensive about T4 to state their opinons, just as it's the right of those who have already wholeheartedly embraced T4 as a 'true' Thief game to state theirs.
