Ascribing intent to my posts is ludicrous, considering that you don't know me. You sound as though you're trying to pick an argument or just plain trolling; over what? The fact that I don't happen to care for 3rd person perspective, but that it doesn't bother you? Bully for you. Oh wait: that's right, you claimed that I rested 'that on some fictitious developer reasoning, imbued with a desperate attempt to ascribe malice and then to actually get frustrated people don't vindicate your plainly risible preconception about them?' Wow. You sure got a lot out of one small half-facetious post. So then I'll just take your post as trolling and dismiss you as being someone I really don't care to know.
Considering the fact that I don't know you from Adam and in no way insulted you or directed my post towards you, then you definitely need to take a step back and clear your head. It's really bad form to go on the attack, especially when you're a new member in a forum, don't know the person you're attacking and have no idea whether their post was serious, all in fun, or half of both.
Well that's rather hostile for just a post taking issue with your ludicrous reasoning. Where to even begin? I suppose leaving aside the blatantly personal and unnecessary ad hominems, you assume I know little about the game or its development when I've been following it closely for a number of years. I don't see why I have to state the contrary as you can just assume whatever you like about me (simultaneously criticising me for allegedly doing the same) but I in no way ascribed any intent to your post other than to point out the complete lack of reason you demonstrated. I don't care for your motives nor did I guess them because it's irrelevant to me taking issue with your warped reasoning, and that's all I took issue with not yourself as a person.
Somehow due to this one, astoundingly minor disagreement, you again invent motivations and show you're not above a great amount of condescension for good measure. When I talk to someone on the internet, especially a stranger I try to talk in good-faith even if it would be easy to just dismiss their opinion as trolling or being innately disingenuous because I don't know any of that for certain. You have no problem with doing either.
Finally I had no idea this public forum was your own personal means of communication and that if I have an opinion about someone's argument (which you actually claim is 'pretty much a fact' rather than a obnoxious assumption) I should not participate, especially if I'm 'new' despite lurking these forums intermittently since 2001. If you had just said 'What you wrote is unfair since I was joking.' You know what? My mistake, many apologies. You don't have to take such umbrage and make some rather snide insinuations based on no evidence... which is what I took issue with the first time you did it.

Yup. It's my lot in life to point out when people are wrong when claiming ad hominem attacks. Sad as it is, it's my job, and I do it well.
