Yeah, you hoopleheads oughta go visit Blighttown and see how you'd react. Trust me, I know you guys don't pay attention to shit outside your echo chamber but that place has a reputation.

Say F*** Off! to all the other TS Guild members over there for us! o/
So, clocks and watches are showing up all over the place. I hope there's no timed mission! But boy am I glad to see clocks, with recognizable numbers, and all 12 of them, and hopefully we will see clockwork devices that aren't always a clock!

Making poor excuses for yourself, that are supported by inaccurate assumptions, only serves to blind you from what is really happening around you.

New Horizon, you may not seer it as freaking out but it is a highly irrational inference so coming from you it IS freaking out. It'd be par for the course for some other members.
Of course SR would be best but we've no idea why he's not being used. Maybe he said no. What then?

To be fair, Blighttown is indeed an effer.
I'm still holding out that this is all an April Fools' joke. I checked their Facebook trailer post and just about every comment I saw is some variation of "WTF NO STEPHEN RUSSELL?!?!"
I hope they're listening.
Either way, I'll be buying and playing on release day. I have no serious hope for perfection, but I will at least surely enjoy it!

It could be they used the old trailer for an April joke...we'll have to see if there's a different trailer tomorrow.

As long as they never act surprised by our reactions, and don't try and lamely justify it to us, I won't feel imposed upon. If they are reading our concerns, then there's no excuse for not realizing how things will go. If they make the right marketing choices, the long-time fans that don't get the game will be replaced by twice or more as many n00bs throwing their money at them.
I see there's a Market Avenue in the trailer, and TDP/Gold had a Market Street in the sealed Old Quarter. I wonder if they intersect, like maybe Baron's Way and Northcrest Road, too.

Okay, trailer opinions aside, here's what I think about Stephen Russell not voicing Garrett this go-round.
It sucks.
But...
That doesn't mean it's the end of Thief as we know it. That they've got a new actor because they're trying to spite the oldschool crowd. There's probably a 1001 good reasons why they couldn't get Russell into the studio. Maybe he had a schedule conflict. Maybe he doesn't want to do it anymore. Who knows. Whatever the reason, I'm sure they would've loved to have him back on board, but couldn't for one reason or another.
New guy? Well, he's got the cadence and style down pretty well from what little I've heard, but it's still weird hearing someone else voice Garrett. Like everything, I'm not gonna assume the worst. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he turns out.
And yeah, it's a possibility they could get Russell back in the studio later. A slim possibility that I wouldn't hold my breath over, but weirder things have happened.

It's highly unlikely that it's a joke. Come on.
And that isn't dethtoll freaking out, he loves that game you idiots. That's called faux hyperbole for effect, but naturally one shouldn't expect you bovine types to understand nuance.

Oh, perhaps you could teach us then? You are so wise, after all, hailing from GenGaming.
Say, you didn't by chance see the laughing smilie next to my comment, didja?
