So Stephen Russel isn't voicing this time around. Hey, guess what, maybe he had other obligations. It's not like he isn't a busy guy. Yeah, I'd like to see him voice Garrett too. But it's not the end of the world if he doesn't. If SR not being in the game is such a dealbreaker for you, well that's your prerogative but maybe y'all better double check your priorities.
It comes down to money, and I'm not giving EM any of mine for this. It's the not game I'd like to play. The voice is just the final straw. There are so many other parts of what we've seen so far that I don't want to play. I enjoy the old games, so I'll stick to those. I wish I could get back the money I paid for T3, that wasn't fun at all. So yes, it's my prerogative, just like it's yours to keep interest in the game, and hopefully you'll enjoy it. I hope everyone gets out if it what they want.

Perhaps you're reading a little too much into the 'tone' and interpreting it as you want to hear it. For the record, I'm not frothing at the mouth. I'm sad and disappointed, but I'm not personally betrayed. I don't have a relationship with EM. I'm simply stating things as I see them.
You are entitled to feel how you feel, and so am I. There is no martyr business going on, it's simply a fact that their interest lies far beyond fans of the original games. Like I said, had it been a new character I totally could have been on board with that...and all the changes they're making, but whatever they're attempting to do here is all marketing slight of hand.

Yes, this (except for some of the changes they're making). Thank you. I've been ill, and I can't articulate as well as I'd like to. It just makes me mad when they say "we want to know what you all think" and then they don't listen. They being any company, not necessarily EM.

Aside from no SR and much of the footage being previously seen, there's some stuff here I like. The nod to 'ghosting' is significant, and I like the focus on the equipment. The scene of Garrett pushing back into the shadows and becoming very difficult to see was also cool. Liked the guard (and helmet) at 0:29, and the suggestion of birds as stealth challenges.
Didn't like:
* the modern matches.
* the ninja-like flip he does to evade the guards
* the accented way he pronounced "opportunity". Didn't sound natural at all.
* Garrett's purple lipstick
* The terrible prose. "Some believe the perfect heist lies in the preparation, some say it lies in the timing... for me it's a way of life." Huh? It doesn't even make sense.

Wait, so New Horizon saying everything so far has just been lip service based on them not being able to afford/hire/coordinate with SR (cuz we've no idea why they haven't got him) isn't freaking out?
The inference is that having SR would somehow prove everything else is legit, like it causes some butterfly effect out something.
So what IS freaking out?
