I've upped my pledge - silly, perhaps, since I was never that much into Elite (never managed to dock even once without crashing and exploding), but I'd still like to see this succeed.

I'm pleased, because as an old Elite fan I'd very much like to see how this one turns out. I didn't back it myself, because the amount on show simply doesn't justify the asking price for a pre-order (at least to me, who doesn't have a significant amount of faith in Frontier), but if it turns out well I'm sure I'll be buying a copy.

By my simpleton mathematics the average pledge is a shade under £60. I have pledged more than that (more than I'm willing to admit to) but I'm also prepared to write it off as risk worth taking. I mean, it is an Elite sequel after all, and it didn't even occur to me not to back it as soon as I'd heard of it.

Alpha 2 footage. This is definitely looking cool, Frontier Developments clearly know what they're doing. Two more alpha releases until the first round beta, then I'll be able to play!
