I don't think the particular mission I'm doing is bugged, it's just that I can't find the outpost. The internet tells me that it (
https://eddb.io/station/47645) does exist, but unfortunately I can't find any info about what planet it's on. :erg:

Finally got my Cobra Mk III - yay! I've now also got multi-cannons and beam lasers, though my first impression of the multi-cannons wasn't that great; it took me *forever* to destroy an AI Eagle. Anyway, I'm hoping to upgrade the gear I have, though for that I think I'll have to find a larger high-tech system. I'm up for some coop any time I'm playing now! :)

All stations in a system should be in the system list, regardless of whether you've explored that system or not.

Here's a vid of a planetary mission wherein I had to destroy 3 sentry drones.

Gotta say all this business of driving across vast landscapes to blow things up at enemy bases, and then calling in a dropship to come get you reminds me of a certain Looking Glass game. That's right, Terra Nova! The SRV's jet booster even feels a lot like TN's jetpacks. Just a shame ED's missions aren't as complex as those in TN. So far I've done 2 missions using the SRV. One had me blowing up a power plant in a base, this other one had me blowing up 3 drones.

If they did a walker-type SRV that would be awesome.

Just back from my first multiplayer session, flying around with Malf. I got myself killed pretty quickly at a resource extraction site when I accidentally (that's what they all say..) hit some of the local security while trying to shoot down a pirate, but after that we had some more success with bounty hunting and then heading to another system. The combination of VR and multiplayer - seeing another ship piloted by a mate and hearing his voice over the in-game radio - makes for a powerful sense of presence.

Was fine fun indeed Thirith, and I love the squelchy voice comms.
My bounties should run out in a couple of days too, so hopefully the next time you fly with me, I won't be getting constantly interdicted by over-powered bounty hunters!

I'm sorry I couldn't join in today. Did make my way over to Asellus Primus last night, but was too busy today. So the co-op works well? How are things like jumps handled? Can you jump as a group or do you just have to decide on a destination and then meet up when you get there?

Coop works reasonably well. We lost connection twice, which was annoying, but I don't know if that's the game or something else. Jumps should be handled with nav-lock, though that also didn't seem to work all that well, but that may be a bug. All in all, we didn't spend too much time fighting the game, which I'd say is good.

Question to those of you who've spent more time in the game: are the community goals worth pursuing, or are they basically one way the game provides objectives, without a payoff beyond what you'd get from the activity itself?
