Yeah, I was rather disappointed that the Dark Brotherhood quests were the best quests in the game, and often more thief-like than the actual Thieves Guild quests. Of course, they
were written by an ex-LGSer.
Let's hope that
all the quests in Skyrim are of that quality.
If it only has a static quest system I'm not buying it. We should be long past that, I'm sick of fetching Object A to bring it Person B so I can kill Monster C to be head of Guild D. After a while I'll be head of all guilds, king of Skyrim and download a fucking gardening mod because I'm bored to death.
I want ongoing war between factions, politics, intrigues, something evolving where my actions and decisions actually make a difference. I want character interaction in which I can influence actions of NPCs towards my ends. I want NPCs to have goals and try to achieve them. And fuck stats & grind, too. I'm playing this game on a giant calculator, why do I have to manage an excel sheet?

'A new questing system means randomly-generated stories. If you’re sent on a quest to rescue a kid from a dungeon, though the nuts and bolts of the plot might be pre-written, the game will pick and choose characters and locations from what’s nearby and relevant, rather than have every player retrieve the same kind from the same dungeon. More so than ever, no-one will play the same game.'
Seriously, people should probably (
