ok i need help, ive been playing a while and i checked out some spoiler pages for the Dissapperance of the dwemer and i saw NEED EGG OF TIME but some clever idiot bypasses the Edwinna quest by bring a different schematic from the towers near Dagon Fell.
How can i now complete the quest? i want to know answer myself for thier dissappearance with all this searching ive been doing!

Edwinna sends you to only two places for the schematics: Mzuleft and Bethamez. If one of those doesn't ring a bell, go for it. (I don't recall exactly where Mzuleft is, but Bethamez is in the far end of the town of Gnisis' egg mine) Hope that helps.

ok i went to Mzuleft (south of Dagon Fell) found some schematics but the dialogue wont come up and i fininshed her other tasks. Because i gave her different schematics i think she believes i've already done job.
can i kill her for the book or put in some kind of console command or something.

I suppose you could kill her; if you've finished all her quests, I don't think she has any further use in the game. BUT, make sure you taunt her into attacking you first, or you'll get the whole Mages Guild down on your head.
Alternatively, using the following console command will add a copy of the book to your inventory:
player->additem"bk_EggOfTime"1

i don't reccommend killing Edwinna though, some people don't appreciate it. I wish there were more Mages guild members like Ranys (balamora guild steward). The Mages guild needs more cold, ruthless people like her.

Hrm... Edwinna never gives you the book, it's sitting in Mzuleft, on a table in a room to the right of the entrance. :p

Isn't it under the table on the left? Or is that the Divine Metaphysics book? (I liked that one... It had cool pictures... :cheeky:)

Yup, Divine Metaphysics is in Bethamez, located as you say ;) (and ditto that on the pics; rather intriguing, not to mention foreshadowing...)
