Best way to wrestle with a cat is to stick your arm down some old jeans, and wrap the end around into your fist. That way you can happily wrestle to the cat's content without getting scratched to bits!
You're doing it all wrong, you don't wrestle a pussy, you make sweet sweet love to it. But first you gotta test the waters, dip your toe in. Use a toothbrush or end of a broomhandle, somethin expendable, 'cause there was this one time I damn near got my arm bit off, on account a not lookin close enough - sometimes you just can't see the foxhole for all them bushes

No. The best way to wrestle a cat is to get another cat and let
them do the wrestling. That's what I did. Barring that, an old welding gauntlet works pretty well.

One of the best cat toys is a golf ball sized ball of aluminum foil.
BTW, the cat is loving this.

Congratulations on your new kitties :thumb:
There were lots of good ideas there :D
(
http://www.thecatconnection.com/page/TCC/PROD/DET-GRAN) bitter apple does work well to keep MOST cats from biting cords. Biting cords can be bad...We had one cat who bit speaker wires, and miscellaneous cords. One day he bit through the christmas light string when they were on. He jumped! He crashed to the floor! He ran out of the room at a speed we didn't think a cat could achieve! A couple weeks later we saw him. He was on the fishtank, and he saw the yummy (repaired) speaker wire. He opened up his mouth, and started to close around it... and apparently remembered the christmas light episode because he stopped, and backed up away from it, and ran away.
As far as kitty chomping your hand, well, do what mama cat would do. Hiss at him/her really loudly, and put the little guy down and ignore him for a few minutes. Love up to him later, and if he starts to chomp, do the hiss and put down (not drop!) method. He'll get the idea.
Canned air (like for clearing out computers) works wonders for arguing kitties. Everyone runs as soon as they hear that :D

It doesn't work but it makes me feel like I'm doing something.
Been there, done that, laughed out loud ...
And it's true that they will stop doing that rowdy stuff as they mature. I'd worry more about accidents in the corner. THAT habit, you'll NEVer break ... :tsktsk:

My rather stupid cat, Fry, used to scrabble at peoples legs when he was hungry - a week of waving orange peel under his nose every time he raised a paw to my legs cured him of that habit. Other cats learn more quickly.
