I feel really stupid but i need to find the id tags for all (or some) of the items in morrowind. they are suposedly in the editor but when i open it all of the list things are blank except for the misc tab. thanks in advance.

Load the morrowind.esm file.

ACT SMILEY's perfectly accurate, if a bit terse here. To load the Morrowind.esm file, you can either hit the icon that looks like the standard "open folder" icon, or you can do File->"Data Files". Select the morrowind.esm by double-clicking the checkbox by it, and click 'Ok'.

One word: Programming ;) It's a skill you have to learn if you want to be able to convince a mass of silicon and metal to do anything original (other than be a doorstop ;) )

*grin* In my experience, dealing with users teaches one the subtle art of biting sarcasm, disguised as seemingly inoffensive remarks ;)

(Note: the "cupholder" story is not actually an urban legend... I've a friend who swears until he's blue in the face that he got one such call while working tech support)
