and what kind of OS do you actually have installed on your computer if it dosn't suport all pre. made programs ?
I'm sure the newer versions have backward compatible modes....
or a win98 emulator inside win xp or win2000 hehe

I use Win XP Pro, and I've never used the compatibility emulator. It's useless. The only application I've not been able to run straight-off was System Shock 1, which is ?14 years old and designed for MS-DOS, after all. Then I found a modified version of the executable for XP, so no problems there.
In conclusion, XP runs better than you'd expect and doesn't give you much of a hard time over compatibility.
And the editor runs fine on my nice, modern, P4 with XP Pro.
