There are actually a lot of balancing mods out there. Unfortunately, they aren't terribly popular because face it: A lot of people like the game being easy. Some 'balancing' mods unbalance the game in the wrong way, making it almost impossibly hard. Some do things like increase the price of training, or making it harder to level up, or making sleep and food a necessity.

Yes there are balancing mods, but sleep and food aren't orginal game ideas. Increasing the chance of being attacked while sleeping (except for those damn assasins) would be another orginal game idea as it is already there but not used to it full capacity, though if you increased it to the level where people want to sleep indoors because it is safe, then that is also the level of extreme annoyance.

There's a mod that enables your character to get jumped by thugs and bandits, all levelled to your character. I played it with my level 56 Nord and got my ass kicked when I was attacked by three bandits. I never saw them coming :erg:
