If you
enter the women's bathroom in Sarif HQ at some point, you'll hear a conversation between two women in the stalls (the doors are locked of course), and then one of them will stop and ask 'Is anyone there?', and then when you talk to Prichard afterwards, he gives you the same line Manderley does about staying out of the women's bathroom. OK - "ladies' restroom", to be pedantic.
Hmm, I guess noone mentioned the first code we have to type is the same first code as in DX1 :)
And the first mission is basically what we had in DX 1: the police is held off and the agent must act alone to prove himself (although using this as a test is emphasized more in DX1). We have similar choice of weapons as well (ranged, close, lethal, non-lethal).
As for the SS2 references, I heard the scream in Detroit but I also think Eliza has some Shodan similarities ;) I knew for sure she's an AI when I had to go that room: error 404, Eliza not found :p Also her final location seemed to me like the last Shodan confrontation area in SS2, and in the boss battle music there's this little tune similar to the melody present in some of SS2's tracks. Check "Everybody lies" from DXHR OST around 2:30.

451, the temperature at which paper burns. It's not just the first code in Deus Ex (and DX2). It's also in System Shock 1 and 2, and is featured in Bioshock and Crusader (old Origin game) as well. (2K Marin was cheeky with Bio 2 and went with 154.)

I'll always smile when I see that number pop up. Wasn't it the office door code for Looking Glass?

Yup, one of the most memorable codes ever, 0451.

One that no one has mentioned yet and was a nice wink towards us is the second mission is called Shipping and Receiving which is the same name as Thief 2's second mission.
june gloom on 14/9/2011 at 22:23
That seems like it could be more coincidence than anything. "Shipping and receiving" isn't exactly an unusual term.
Warren's Spectre on 14/9/2011 at 23:10
Yes the term itself would of course seem to be coincidence but the application of it is not. Its the second mission in both the games and might I add the first real mission in either of them.

met Eliza. But there's something else about the
true form of Eliza and the room "she" is in that seems familiar, and I can't quite put my finger on it.
Also, maybe I'm imagining it. But I swear there was an e-mail mentioning a Belltower soldier being augmented, and from the description it sounded like it was talking about
Gunther Hermann. The e-mail definitely mentions the "skul-gun", regardless. (Though I don't think it was misspelled this time.)
