Ha! As a zombie fan, I have to say that a 'stealth zombie' sounds like an oxymoron, wouldn't you agree? :D
Yes.

Yes.
I'll admit though, thinking about it now makes me secretly wish someone would do a Michael Jackson/Thriller vs Garrett mash-up.

More on rope arrows, and other arrows in general, to come. We certainly haven't shared everything at this stage.
Shot in the dark but is there anything beyond their use on fixed points that has yet to be revealed?

Good question, but I obviously can't answer questions about things that are yet to be revealed, without revealing anything. Please don't shoot me. There is MUCH more information to come on arrows and Garrett's gear in general.
Just know that this isn't Tomb Raider - Garrett does not have a mechanical winching device or such ;)

The thing that really bothers me is unnecessary in-fighting between members of the Thief community, as a whole. The hippy inside of me just wants us all to get along :(
No one here really wants that either. But hey, since you're here, and connecting with the community and all, I have a request...
A Level Editor. If you can relay to The Powers That Be, this is of major importance to THIS community. The devs have talked a lot about respecting the DNA of the franchise, well this is the DNA of the fan community. One of the main reasons there are still so many rabid, Thief fans hanging around to get excited and enthusiastic about EM's reboot is because of fan missions, which have been keeping the Thief fire going since 2000. This really needs to be stressed to them, I don't think they really understand how important it is. And also how beneficial it could be to EM to release one.
Any suggestions on what we could do to help further this process would be extremely helpful. A petition? Letter campaign? Gifts/Bribery? Just tell us what to do.

Have you got an attachment point?

Fair enough. Thank you for the reply.

Bribery, really? :) Here's much simpler idea: make it a 5-10$ DLC. I know you guys will have to take your time and hardcode things, make arrangements on proprietary technology, all the middleware, the third party stuff that goes in the toolset etc. I know I wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks for your work.

Yep, the team is aware of the mod legacy of the Thief franchise. I don't have any details I can share with you on this at this point - but I we have confirmed Thief uses a highly modified version of Unreal Engine 3.
Considering the vastness of Unreal engine know-how in this world, combined with a Thief community so dedicated they release professional quality fan generated patches to the previous Thief games 13 years after the fact, something tells me the mod community would be alright even if a level editor is not supported out of the box.
Seriously, I was personally blown away by the dark patch - Never managed to personally chat with the creators, but my hat is off to them.

By dark patch do you mean The Dark Mod? Or something else?
EDIT: Nice to see you here, btw.
