Yeah, 4 is great. 1/2/4 are the only ones with really good singleplayer campaigns, although I also enjoyed Ghosts for some reason.

I used to own it and agree it was decent. I just have no inclination to get the latter ones because they are so expensive and never seem to go down in the sales to a price I'd consider (taking into account I have zero interest in the multiplayer).

@ faetal - if you're interested, the first CoD Modern Warfare was actually a damn good game. It was one of the first to really pull off the cinematic feel in an FPS without going too overboard with it (save a few instances). I'd definitely recommend it. I havent played anything past but the first is solid imho.
And only for one playthrough on normal difficulty.
The game falls apart once you realize that the gameplay is, quite literally, a 3D version of gauntlet. Enemies keep spawning endlessly until you cross an invisible line....so the gameplay consists entirely of whack a mole that becomes tedious on any moderately challenging settings.

That was one thing I found off-putting. The game feels like it sits in a loop until you progress.
It was fun enough as a spectacle though, I just can't be bothered to pay €60 a pop for 6 hours of something similar.
