Today I created the 262nd account of of a max of 300. I can request additional accounts from Google, but I'm not sure I should.
You see, roughly 1/3rd of all the accounts have never even been logged into, not even once. There's a bunch of accounts that haven't been logged into for over three, six, or twelve months. . . some even more.
Don't get me wrong, it's definitely getting used. . . over the past 90 days, an average of 121 people check their mail per day.
I just thought I would get some opinions here as to what I should do.

Realistically any account that has never been logged into (3 months or so after creation) never will be used. Toss those. Should solve the problem for a good amount of time.

If you were being thorough, you might send a PM to the people whose accounts you will kick to give them advance warning. But if it's 1/3, that's about 100 of them so maybe that's too much.
Anyway, to be fair, if someone gets their account kicked, they can always come back and re-register if they really wanted to use it. And that would be a wake up call.
Of course, it'd be nice if you just had more slots, too.
But maybe see if you can fill all the available slots with addresses that get used first, and then consider it.

Not sure really what to add to the discussion Cortex other than three months without using an email address is a bit long(I've let juno sit for years then open it up, but then thats mainly due to juno turning into a big pile of steaming poo and not letting free users operate via anything other than the web interface).

I'm in agreement with the poll results. I'm not going to do it yet, but as soon as 300 accounts isn't enough, I'm going to nuke all accounts that haven't been logged into for at least six months.
I think this is very reasonable.
