I noticed this some months ago already, but since I wanted to research things a bit before complaining, I remained silent. Until now.;)
For some months, the links in e-mail notifications I receive do not work properly anymore. They take me to the right thread, but always to the beginning of the thread instead of a specific posting mentioned in the mail. Apparently, these links have changed in structure. The change took place between January 21th and January 28th, 2010.
Older links still work with any browser I used (mainly Firefox 2 and Lynx - not sure about Internet Exploder), newer ones don't, regardless of what browser or e-mail program I use.
Example for an old, still working link:

A newer link leading to the beginning of the thread looks like this:

It is possible to "repair" such links by inserting the post number once again, in the right place, like this:

Apparently, the server needs this "p=
NUMBER" statement. Maybe the program which prepares the text for e-mail notifications has changed its behaviour in January?
So unless I'm the only one having this little problem, it would be nice if someone would look into this as soon as he/she can devote some time to that.
(EDIT) I just received an e-mail notification with a link which actually worked, although the link has the same structure as the ones above:

Maybe it's because that posting is on the
first page of a thread? (/EDIT)
