Anyone else not receiving e-mail notifications from the forums? I haven't received one for a few hours, but some of the threads I'm subscribed to were replied to after that, and I got a PM, so . . . I'm receiving other e-mails, so I thought maybe a heads-up couldn't hurt. :erm:

Hrhm.
It's unlikely that gmail is chucking it all into the Spam Compactor, but have a look just in case.
I'm getting email just fine through the regular channels, so I know our email server isn't totally b0rked. However, I'm a bit suspicious that maybe I haven't been getting the new registration notifications today. I generally just kind of gloss over them unless there's a reason not to, but even looking in my Deleted Thinges Bin I don't see any. Perhaps the automailer part of the forum software has called in sick?
I'll ask Dave if he can kick it a few times when he gets up...

Just double-checked, and there's nothing in the Spam folder. :weird: Very odd indeed. Oh well, just means I won't be terrorizing the forums tonight. Maybe I oughta go do some writing instead . . .

:o
Whoops, sorry that was my bad. I changed our PHP installation last night and forgot to set the Mail() variables up again.

Well, the e-mail notifications are definitely working again, I got an e-mail when you replied to this thread. :)

'Tis better to use old threads than to start another. It seems to be happening again. Threads are being replied to, Gmail's working, but I'm not getting any e-mail notifications . . .
Did someone do an update maybe?

No, our email server didn't come back up after the UPS went on the fritz this morning.
I'll let you know more when I know more. :)
Gingerbread Man on 20/6/2005 at 17:19
Yeah, the email's a bit bollocksed at the moment. Apparently the UPS backup went crazy this morning and shut all the servers down, and the machine we use for email hasn't managed to get up again. Or something.
Saam's going to dig it out and slap a screen on it to find out wtf, as I understand it. It's not accessible by remote right now, so it'll have to be looked at in person.
(This I learn from listening to people who know what all that gibberish means.. I'm just condensing and paraphrasing.)

Yikes. Well, good luck for sorting out the problem, sounds like you're gonna need it. :erm:
You know you're stalking the forums when you notice e-mail notifications aren't working within a few hours of the problem surfacing.

Has this not been fixed yet, or am I just that unpopular?
