Greetings, oh infinitely wise and compassionate denizens of TTLG.
Now that I have buttered you all up, I'd like to prevail upon your collected knowledge and experience with regards to Online Commerce, most particularly, the best methods for receiving money over the internet, in return for product (audio CDs - which would be shipped directly from our office).
Does anyone have recent experience with systems such PayPal and BillPay? Can you recommend any other similar services?
Any sundry advice, cautions or tips would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time.

A proper merchant system will probably cost you a lot up front, but pay for itself if your selling enough to make it worthwhile. PayPal shouldn't cost much to implement but will end up costing more in fees and possibly administration if you end up having to do that manually.
Aside from it being part of an evil totalitarian conspiracy, I really like the ease of PayPal speaking as a customer.

Thanks for the input, jay. Paypal is certainly easy but the price of convenience is pretty high on a per transaction basis. Weighing the short term against the long is difficult until you know how much traffic you will have.
