I remember the first time I saw him live on b&w TV being covered with his cape, being escorted off stage, and throwing the cape off to jump back into the show.
Amazing.
I was blown away as a kid, and still as an adult.
He made quite an impact.

dang :(
Even the songs that didn't get played out as background tracks in movie teasers are good.

I guess telling him to get up won't work here.

Out of sight.
Not out of mind. Not for a long, long time.

Also, U.S. President Gerald Ford died.
From Associated Press:
"Ford was an accidental president, Nixon's hand-picked successor, a man of much political experience who had never run on a national ticket. He was as open and straight-forward as Nixon was tightly controlled and conspiratorial.
He took office minutes after Nixon flew off into exile and declared ''our long national nightmare is over.'' But he revived the debate a month later by granting Nixon a pardon for all crimes he committed as president. That single act, it was widely believed, cost Ford election to a term of his own in 1976, but it won praise in later years as a courageous act that allowed the nation to move on."
What? There are enough new death threads in CommChat.

Ford died? YES! YES! Last time I played two years ago I got a very respectable 4 deaths in Rotten Dead Pool (and this was without Reagan, too!), but last time I checked I didn't have any.
Also, Living with a Hernia is such a great song.

Those things both suck.
I'll have to see if I can make it downtown for Ford's funeral.
