Well after two years since DX:IW came out, my brother and I finally decided to buy the PC version, anyhow and have been having a couple major problems with it. To begin with we already have the tweaker program thats been out which doesn't really seem to be making any difference, and the 1.2 patch for the game, and my computer specs are
P.4 2.66 Ghz
Radeon 9250
1G Ram
Windows XP Pro/Service Pack 2
All my drivers have been fully updated, and we're having this problem with when we hit the mouse click, anytime we click it theres always this 1 or 2 second delay, and it isn't just when we fire a gun, its just when ever we click it. And my RAM used to 256MB, and we just upgraded it to 1G, and it doesn't seem to be making any difference on the mouse click, as a matter of fact it seem to be making any difference on how fast the game runs, and we've had it set to 800x600. And when we tested other games(Doom3, Painkiller, Deus Ex 1) it seemed be to running fine, and we been to a bunch of forum sites where some people have been sending recent questions to this problem. Anyway somebody please send us HELP!!!!:eww:

I'm experiencing the same problem. My system is somewhat different than yours except that I have the same video card, so obviously it is 9250-related. Wish someone had it fixed.

This game was never properly patched, it still has a lot of bugs unfortunately. I can not even play as once I try to come back up through the inclinator it crashes everytime. The only way I finished was when I played it when it first came out using ME as the operating system.

make sure you are not forcing FSAA via ati control panel, that was really screwing things up for me.and your card is quite slow for this game, that might be the culprit as well..this game is simply screwed,it doesnt run 100% fluently even on my radeon 9800pro,and that card was not even out when this piece of garbage was released!

yeah. Came out like a year later and was top of the line....DX 2 runs half decent mostly, but just gets choppy in weird places.

I have played DX:IW on my Radeon 9600 Pro many times and it always seemed to run fine. It slowed down in some spots, but it was pretty smooth. I can even play it on my laptop, which has a 9600 Mobility. It runs good, just about the same as my main computer.

Just as long as you have the disc in, eh? :p
No matter how convinient it is, or how much it improves performance, no-cd cracks are the work of the DEVIL!
