By the way, Ion can't sell out to Eidos. Eidos owns Deus Ex, Thief, and Ion...

Really? I direct you to (

I think these are minor issues, and all repairable.

I signed the petition. I have no illusions that it will sway Eidos, but it's a fun testament to how many fans agree that DX2, in its current state, is not worthy of the name.

Thank you.

I don't think it's such a great sign when the fan community releases a patch for a demo.
Uncia on 25/11/2003 at 12:04
It's just a sign of "spending so much time on the game, the demo is iffy". The game I'm beta testing released a Limited Test and that thing has completely changed some of its mechanics since it came out, simply because the team is too busy finishing the full game to devote a month to properly tuning the limited release.
And anyone saying "well, you just take the full game and take out the bits you don't need" is naive and has never done any programing [or not seriously enough to realize the extent of unpredictability of code when you yank out such large amounts of it] in their lives.

I bet your drinks are always half full, too.

So, when we started working on Invisible War, we targeted the console from day one. This time it wasn't an afterthought. Every decision we made along the way considered that we would be running on a console. And I think you'll notice the difference.

And still I wait for someone to list a downside to this 'consolification' that doesn't just equate "more intuitive and faster to use, BUT IT IS DIFFERENT FROM #1!". As said, what DE2 lacks is what DE1 lacked also. :erg:
