If you read back to page one of this thread, you'll see that EM did agree add it as a feature after the original post.
That said, I think adjusting it from 75 to 100 makes a pretty significant difference.

Where is this option? I can't find it.

Options-->Gameplay I believe, but only on the PC version.

Yeah, found it. It wouldn't have been sensible to put it in the video menu would it? Nooooo

I have to comment here (albeit late) that it is hilarious that a couple years ago no one cared or even knew about FoV settings, and in most cases certainly could not change them, then some games allowed it, and now it's OH MY GOD YOU ARE SUCH A DOUCHEBAG IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE THIS FEATURE IT'S LIKE YOU'RE SHITTING NAZI AIDS RIGHT INTO MY OPEN MOUTH.

* People have been caring for fov in competitive multiplayer games since Quake came out.
* A few years ago, the default fov was fixed reasonably for computer displays (75-90) and did not have to account for console performance issues and higher distance from the screen.
* It was often as easy as modifying a .cfg variable. Hard-coding the value and not exposing it to configuration is pretty recent.

As a non-gamer, it seemed to me that the importance of adjustable FOV became more important as people switched to widescreen, and phased out older computers, and were looking to play new and old games alike with changing tech requirements, etc.
