As would everyone. We wont know for ages. By that time we'll probably have to upgrade anyway.

Crystal Dynamics games have tended towards really modest system requirements at the time of release, so I'd surprised to see DX3 have Fallout 3 like reqs unless the devs mangle the engine DXIW style (or blow the poly budget - er, whatever the modern equivalent would be, shader budget? - DX style).
Also, TTLG owes itself a playthrough of Tomb Raider Anniversary. At least the demo. I really dislike every TR game, including the demo of Legends I tried, but TRA is pretty slick.

I would like to know what the baseline video card/ram amount/cpu on the pc they are targeting with this title ??
Well, going on the 24-month production cycle (Nov/Dec 2009 release) and the (excellent) 'engine' they're building on I'd say something like:
Minimum:
Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
1GB RAM
DX9 gfx card (probably x1800/7800 or above)
20GB HDD space :cheeky:
Recommended:
C2D 2Ghz
2GB RAM
DX10.1 gfx card (hey, if it looks nice and scales back to DX9 I don't see a prob)
Not too shabby if I'm right. I don't think they'll want to alienate a large part of DX fans, but on the other hand, if they can make it scalable, I don't see why they should hold back on making a beautiful game (although if they stay true to the DX legacy that beauty will probably be found in the superior art direction and not the latest in shader effects, so to speak, not that the two shouldn't go hand in hand).

Fortunately, I don't see the console having as big a negative impact this time.
Due to the new development platform, the game can be ported to the 360 with no changes other than re-mapping the controls for a gamepad. The 360 has enough memory and power to support the large environments that DX fans are used to, as demonstrated by Assassin's creed.

The original X-Box could handle the large environments of Deus Ex. Unfortunately, graphics for Invisible War had to be at least acceptable for a 2003 game, and that meant large environments had to go.
The problem will be exactly the same for Deus Ex 3 if it is made for the 360. Two years from now, a 360 will be completely obsolete compared to a PC. So it will be either acceptable graphics (by 2010 standards) or big levels.
I do hope Deus Ex 3 will be for the next generation of consoles, and not for the 360.

I am going to take a wild guess that it'll have relatively low-ish hardware requirements (i.e. an 8xxx series geforce would run it well), and will definitely be for the 360.

Of course DX3 will be available for the 360 and PS3 should it be released within 3 years: pc games get too pirated for large productions to be pc-only nowadays.
The power of the consoles' hardware is very relative: developers often end up using every inch of those limited capabilities for better results than those they would get on an all-powerful pc, to get lazy on. It's actually on the pc that companies often end up blaming the hardware not being powerful enough, like for Crysis.

I know that, but I was thinking about "X-Box 720" or "PS4".
