Yes, René mentioned it on the official boards. Line of sight stealth is still the main way to go but shadow stealth will be present to some extent too.
I'm not sure what "some extent" means, but this is certainly a good news. At least, there is hope.
Now if an option is implemented to turn off the health auto regen (the same way Vita-Chambers could be turned off), I might actually begin to be less cynical about this game!

Yeah, he didn't want to say anything more but this proves that they are listening to the fans and reading the official boards.

I'm not sure that's a really bad thing. If they tweak it right, it could work well. Yes, we loose a little bit of complexity but nothing else and I can live with that. And I don't see any reason to be cynical about the game. I don't agree with every choice they've made but so far it looks promising. :)
Is the Eidos forum working for anybody now?

They've been experimenting with a new skin lately, probably messed something up.
Necros on 24/4/2009 at 12:05
I hope they'll fix it soon. :erg:

Good for you. Personally, I don't see a lot of positive things with Rainb... I mean "Deus Ex 3". In fact, I'm not sure I see a single one. Ok, that's not true, I'm sure the game will have better graphics. Woopidoo!

Choices and consequences, strong story, many ways to solve problems, DX1-like inventory, large maps, good music - just to mention a few things. :)

It has potential to be a good game, if done right. Let's leave it at that for now and not start another ragefest about what Deus Ex was "really" about. We'll have the opportunity to find out how much the current devs' views coincide with our own soon enough.
By the way, Necros, what's the source on that late 2009 / early 2010 release date? Something quasi-official or just magazine rumours?
Necros on 25/4/2009 at 13:15
Just an estimation based on what the devs said about their development cycle. According to them it's between 24 and 30 months. They've started working on DX3 in Q3 2007 (don't remember exactly when right now), so it should come out in late 2009 or early 2010. Or if they need more time, then somewhat later. They talked about this too, EM won't rush out the game.
