On rockpapershotgun, a lot of articles, access them via the frontpage:
(www.rockpapershotgun.com)It all sounds VERY exciting, the interview with the script writer especially although none of the trailers so far hinted at the levels of grey she claims are in the story (or the "human" bad boys).
"we have ourselves a boi scout" is still cringe-worthy, not to speak of the 80s schwarzenegger action fest bits. New "you are adam jensen" trailer issued as well that - frankly - sucks as well. But what has been written in the first impressions sound totally different from everything I "saw" from the game sofar.

GOD DAMMIT.

THE GAME IS RUINED!

It's an interesting one, isn't it? On the one hand it's a really silly consolisation of movement, on the other hand I'd quite like to be able to do it. Just not with one button press is all. That probably seems fussy, and it is, but it's like Garrett being able to shoot a rope arrow into a beam using lock on and a single button press - automating simulated skills takes away from player skill, mastery of that skill and thus player enjoyment. Imho. That's the kind of gamer I am though; I want to get good at doing things not just press a button and have my uber skilled avatar do it.

I can agree with this. The only reason it doesn't bother me here is because the game doesn't seem to rely on it too strongly. It's like having the choice between locking onto a wooden beam, or aiming manually. It's something there for convenience.

Gah! I kinda wanna read that first level walkthrough, but at the same time I don't want spoilers... I mean I have the game pre-ordered anyway and that's not gonna chance, so I guess it's not an issue of having to read it to make an "informed purchase".
As for the rest, impressions seem good and promising. Trailer seems fine, maybe it's just me, but I get a weird vibe of corny overdone dialog slipping between the cracks, and something very artificial about those animations... so I guess we're keeping in line with the original then. Alec's and Quinns' comments on how the third person perspective implementation of cover was actually somehow slightly for the better brought out the hurrdurr frothing at my mouth, but whatever. Will wait and see how playable the stealth is without having to result to cover.

Yeah I felt the same way about most of the positive things they had to say, which is a bit sad. My brain will not let me trust optimism. Only cynisism and bitterness should be allowed in previews for this game. Otherwise I might get all hyped for it and it'll never live up to my expectations. The only way I was able to enjoy DX2 was because I'd been listening to everyone hating on it for half a year already by the time I played it.
So, would everyone please be considerate, and only write bad things about this game from now till release. Thank you.

Deus Ex: Deadly Blue Shadows more like OLOL. Seriously, fuck this game all kinds of ways. It's obviously a dumbed down linear shooter made for retarded console kiddies who are retarded and stupid as they are retarded.
I wouldn't play this game even if it were given to me. Instead, I'd just spit on the person handing me the disc, scream "I ONLY PLAY SOPHISTICATED PC CENTRIC GAMES", then smack him in his dumb face. I expect the small circle of people whom I consider my friends to know my tastes. Anyone who hands me Deus Shit 3 is obviously not my friend.
I hate this game, I hate the people who like this game, I hate Eidos Montreal for making it. Also, I hate you, you, and yes, even you. Each and every one of you can go die in a horrible bus explosion fire.
Eat a dick, fuckheads. I'm gonna go play Fallout while listening to classical music ONLY (modern music is shit for sheeple), then play a game of chess with myself.
There you go, Henke.
