I've no idea how much more expensive that would make the games, but I don't think it would be much. It'd be material accumulated during the development process , therefore nothing new and expensive. Gold or GOTY versions would probably be the best versions to include this stuff, since that would mean the game has found it's established fan base and the extra material would be a nice gesture and 'Thank you' from the devs. My project is on hold until DX2 comes out (becuse Harvey Smith said he'd help me then) but i've been trying to get information on the removed bits of deus ex. Kind of like deleted scenes from a movie on a DVD. Of course these are more like what you get when you read an early draft of a script because they were never done.
You know stuff like What was JC doing in sunken LA, why did he go into space, what is the story surrounding Ada. That suff. It would be much nicer if they would just release that kind of information with the gmae rather than saying after it's out, "Yeah we had wars in Texas in the original plot, " with out giveing any more detail on it.

There ARE minor changes between original and patched GOTY, like>
-Terrorist leader in the Ligberty statue having no NSF bodyguard.
-Missing datacube in the NSF HQ basement in hells Kitchen (about Manderley's sectret Zurich account and stuff).
-probably even more

above the cabinet in the room filled with goodies. BTW how much is 10,000c/month compared with US$? An extra about US$10,000/month is not a lot considering Manderley's position.

Where exactly? AFAIK, one datacube (message from Paul to Lebedev) is on the cabinet, while the second datacube with info about Manderley is supposed to be locked in the cabinet. But in GOTY there is no such datacube locked in the cabinet, only the first one (Paul's) ON the cabinet.
tomi1kenobi on 30/7/2003 at 08:27
It's in the basement of the previous NSF HQ. There's a cabin at left corner of the room with a computer mainframe in the middle of the room. The datacube is on the top of the mainframe.
Rogue Keeper on 30/7/2003 at 09:08
Yes, we are talking about the same room, but why they moved the datacube from the cabined to the top of the computer mainframe in GOTY?

You tell me, I only work here:p Probably just to make it a bit more difficult to find it, since it has the important data about Mandeley and Simons. If you don't find it, it leaves some unanswered questions hanging in the air, most of all: who do you really trust? Removing the datacube altogether wouldn't be much of choice, since you'd have to pretty soon find out the truth anyway, so they probably just decided to leave it there and see if you you can find it.

Poof...
Has anybody noticed other minor changes between the original unpatched version and GOTY, like this one?
