Was anyone a little dissappointed with the multiplayer in DX.
I really liked the premise of interaction in the solo game, I guess I thought that would it carry over to multiplayer. Though there are some pretty funky maps, especially that floaty one with messed up gravity

Yeah, but its no big deal to me. ISA ain't in the multiplayer business...

Yes, DX multiplayer was more of an experiment than anything else, I think. ISA are a single-player developer (and Eidos apparently aren't much on multiplayer either)
I don't think it's that bad, actually, as it was never really conceived as core component of the game. But it had it's good points. The augmentations were pretty good (although they did have a tendency to encourage a kind of rock-scissors-paper approach) and some of the maps were cool. Especially Area-51.

Not to my knowledge. If it had been, it might have been recieved differently, I don't know.

DX has the potential for some really good multiplayer, but of the stealth/infiltration type. Like Thievery really - 1 team infiltrate, the other guard/manage security.
The DX forums here are dead dead dead. I guess DXIW was a killer game after all.
LOL!
Is a joke funny if no one is there to hear it?

I was thinking of more of a dedicated online game network.
Where u are 'employed' by one merc 'company' to do jobs on another.
You could even hire backup thru message boards or something.

'tas the game many of us have been longing for since the dawn of civilisation, Mr. 666. Let us pray with renewed vigor!
