In an Imperial Legion mission I seem to have taken the Dwemer Puzzle Box needed
in the Main Quest. I don't remember if I sold it or what. Can I use the console to
insert a new one? Or reset Arkhngtandt?

Interesting, I remember seeing that box before I had recieved the job to get it for the fighters guild guy in Balmora and it would not let me pick it up.
Maybe there's another one around somewhere, I'd find it strange that you'd get conflicting quests like that.

Nah, he's saying he went to the ruin for an I.L. quest (gather scrap metal) and while there he also snatched up the puzzle box. As to the console, the general syntax is this:
player->additem "object ID", 1

As to the object ID, look over here:
