Not at all, o Reptilian One.
Actually, I think that Hanging Gardens crops up in other locations too. It's always worth checking the bookseller in Balmora (opp. the Mages' and Fighters' Guilds), or Jobasha's Rare Books in Vivec's Foreign Canton.

Hmm.. 'tis true.. they may have a copy.. am pretty certain that if I flogged it it would be to the enchanter in the Balmora mages guild or possibly the bookseller (you might have noticed I'm pants with NPC's names). I have a sneaking suspicion I did flog it to her.. I tend to sell her pretty much everything (especially after enchanting something)
It's so annoying you can't use goods to directly barter for enchantments!

Just out of interest - what race do you play? :)
Ania on 7/2/2003 at 00:02
I'm a Dunmer female and my name is Aoife (Ania is actually my real name). I liked their racial characteristics and the fact that there was so much choice of faces and especially of HAIRSTYLES! (I actually dumped my original character because I wasn't satisfied with her hair)
But I have another character lined up- a Khajit male, and another yet to be created, so that I can do all the quests possible. There are some male- and female-specific quests in the game, and you can only join one great house, and some factions are not v. compatible with others, so plenty of potential for repalying the game.
I did once submit (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=61677) a thread on the subject, if you're interested.

Your character sounds fab - am thinking Aoife might mean something? As for hairstyles - well, being Argonian it's more of horn styles??! (Big curly ones!) The character choices are one of the fab things about the game I think. Much more fun than having to play a set character. Let's you use your imagination more. :)
For sure, I'll definitely take a look at the thread. I'd just like to say that this is by far the friendliest forum - I'm in two morrowind ones incl this one, and this is def my favourite - seems like you've got a good little community going on here :D

Yes, the forum is lovely. I've started to spend as much time here as playing the game! (Should I worry?) Especially since I also discovered the Community Chat section, with its dramas and silliness. Though we do ok here- check the Almalexia is a psycho thread and marvel at how little it has to do with its topic, after the first few posts.
Aoife (pronounced Eefa) is an Irish name- she was a warrior woman and trained the hero Cu Chulainn. Scatha was another one, and that was my character in Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, so Aoife maintains the continuity. Why Irish, you may ask?
I just got my PhD (smugness!), and it was an edition of a 17th century Irish fantastic tale, from manuscript. It includes the Irish text, an English translation, commentary, notes etc. That's the Irish connection. I'm Polish, actually.
I tried to reply to this yesterday, but had trouble connecting to the server.

Well done on the PhD Ania :thumb: Am thinking of an Msc first - PhD's are scary!
Will definitely check out the other threads - as I said this forum seems much more friendly, the other one I'm in seems to be full of "look at how great I am" people..
Hmm.. yup - does seem to be some problems with the server - couldn't get on all weekend.

I've also checked out a few other MW forums, includind the official ones, and this one is definitely the best. It's small enough to be a nice little community rather than teeming masses of people you never get to know. So, we're glad to have you here-nice to see someone else living in sunny England as well :)
