This forum should be better. If you dont want to spend the time discussing something fully then why post? If you think that a topic such as paedophillia can be summed up in only a few lines and then forgotten, what does that say about you?
Firstly these guys are bastards. Who said they werent? Discussion over. Now for the finer points.
The article is not clear about whether any girls replied to the article, but assuming they did, why? Because they are already potentially sexual at that age. So, perhaps we can protect them from abuse by recognising this fact rather than ignoring it, and give younger girls suitable education.
This absurd attitude that children are asexual is unhelpful. Who can say that they did not have a single sexual fantasy before puberty?
Regarding the issue of abuse, the age of consent has not always been 16. So imagine a hypothetical time in the past. A 14 year old girl willingly has sex with an older man. Today we may feel that she was not emotionally ready to make that decision, but at that time there was no social stigma involved and so no real cause for psychological distress.
Lastly, where do you draw the line? It`s ok to find a 16 year old girl attractive, but not the day before her birthday? Absurd. And is 2 days before her birthday even worse? It is nonsensical to try to link the age of consent with physical attraction.
Dia, you do not understand the male mind and should not try to state what is normal for it.
All these are points for discussion only. My personal opinion is that all sex should be illegal (maybe allow masturbation).
