I'd agree. But any talk of anything that might effectively rehabilitate paedophiles is roundly condemned in the press. I think most people don't really care for the victims of abuse, they just care about how hearing about it makes them feel. Just like most people don't seem to like facing the truth about 'stranger danger'- children are most at risk from people they know, not shifty strangers in dirty macs on street corners. It's easier to think that the danger is outside.
