Yep. It improves it a lot, atleast for me. Explorer (or the shell, whatever you prefer) is one of the top memory hogs as long. You don't even need to run it. Anyway, the less memory your wasting on other things, the faster the game runs.
Just close explorer, then in the task manager do File > New Task and find the game.

Hmm interesting i gotta try that, thank sharing with that with me. Though you meant something like Zonealarm, etc.
That help alot i like it, boost about 50% on my PC then degrade later on due to my video board, then it crashed sometime around 1-4hrs. Cant wait til a new GeForce. :cheeky: Those ATI Radeons is the worst pos i ever had!

what kind of project? Me and my people are working on an ENORMUS long-term project that was inspired by morrowind. its starting as a fund raiser,(i cant spell right now), anyway i wouldnt advise anyone to do this over the internet, but were makeing money to buy a small island just outside the U.S. and totally re-furbish it. its actually more of an expariment, we sell 50.00 tikkets and when about 120,000 people buy a ticket, we will begin. some small details are, when a person, or persons arrive to the island, they will have nothing on them. they will each be given a set of clothes. its swort of like re-building the castle ages. we still have a Sshipt load of work ahead of us!!!!! anyway byby!.....................
