After reading another posting, I am beginning to think I've blown it. After killing the Gazer in the caves, I went and spoke to the Mountain King and gave him the crown I was carrying as a gift so he would give me the password to his treasury (which seems like a waste of time!). Am I going to need this crown to beat the game? If so, is there a way to get it back?

Where did you you get the crown? If you're only on level 2, you don't have much to worry about...

I din't really remember where I got the crown. I've been through most of Level 3 also, but I've been carrying it for awhile.
That's why I didn't think much about giving it up. Would it show up in his treasury if I need it again?

But the crown you need to navigate the maze you find much later as I recall.

Don't worry about the crown. There are plenty of generic ones all throughout the game. The one Rygar33 is talking about is found only with a lot of effort late in the game.

Thanks, Brad. I didn't think it would be too important or I wouldn't have found it laying around so early in the game. And Rygar, if you would read more closely, you would see that I mentioned that I read about a crown in another posting on this board! And, hey, I need all the help I can get with this elaborate game!
