UNATCO either exists now or will exist very soon. It's called Homeland Security.
Echelon also does exist too. It's been around ever since the 70's. But I don't see how it can monitor billions of phone conversations and be able to pick anything out.

DON'T GET TECHNICAL WITH ME YOU TAFFER!
Yes UNATCO is international, but do you ever see UNATCO troops anywhere else besides the Us in Deus Ex?

Most (or all) of the originations in Deus ex do in fact exist. A while back, there was a post that has links to all the web sights of the various organizations in Deus ex. I tried to find, but I could not. If any one could link that to this post, I would greatly appreciate it.

DaffyD, I was going to provide my opinion on the matter, but reading your post, I started realizing the futility of such action. You nailed the topic squarely on the head:thumb:

How about a paradigm-setting game, for both plot and interactivity?
I suppose most people would put writer's ideas about the future under the heading of "stylised dream", but if it's biting and realistic enough, you may get an entire mindset named after you... Deus Ex eas mostly created for the purposes of entertainment, though, rather than as a social commentary or an artistic style exposition.
Just have fun and don't worry about what you call the things you do.

Much of the deception, lies, and government propaganda is constantly being shoved in
our faces. Every day there is cries for a UN controlled world government to
control everything and everyone. All you the average person on this planet can do is refuse this tyranny and denounce the NWO war. You must question everything and
understand what is going on this world that is becoming crazier and hysterical by the minute. You must make the effort to be informed because the talking heads in the press will not tell you the truth but only lies. We are not slaves but human beings and we deserve much better.

"Mother should I trust the government?"-Pink Floyd. Crazy and hysterical is right, just consider which side is such and support it with FACT not baseless conjecture drummed up by anarchists and people who hate the US for being successful. Looney net sites abound. "I believe man will not simply survive but prevail."- William Falkner. Mankind is a work in progress, don't simply throw a wrench into the machine because you don't like the hum. I tire of nuts. Read, listen, and learn all you can but consider the final outcome each group aims for or if they even have one besides destruction of what they cannot create. A little cynicism is good- a lot poison. Sorry for the sermon.:erg: And thank all you sane people for being sane, it gives me hope for the future, as for you others- remember Occams razor and by all means THINK! You will come around eventualy... I am hypnotizing you into it now...when you awake it will all have been a video game....
By the way...SOY FOOD IS PEOPLE! Ahhhhhhhhhh!
