am pretty sure torchwood is at an end due to the recession there was a report not too long ago saying that they only had enough money to dr who and that torchwood would end with a summer special that had been filmed before the recession hit, the summer special we just had. The 6 months later thing tacked on at the end was filmed recently and was added due to the recession cut backs. Torchwood may be back after the recession, if there's still anyone who wants to watch it.

I DO!! I missed the newest episode and have been frantically trying to find out when (and if) it's going to be rerun anywhere. :(

If you can get access to the bbc iplayer (which is not region-restricted as far as I know), you should still be able to watch all of the episodes.
Edit:(

Unless something has changed recently, iPlayer content is only licensed for a UK audience, so you have to be in the UK. You might be able to get around it with some kind of proxy, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Crap, you're probably right. And downloading them in their entirety to watch at your leisure requires a specialised download manager (incidentally also making sure 'at your leisure' extends to only 7 days), so you probably can't even do it that way. :(

You can get around it, there are dl progs for that, even.

Okay; after much searching and trial & error, I finally went to the source; BBC America. I checked the schedule for Torchwood & found the dates/times of reruns of Season 3, Episode 1. I even opted for a reminder to be e-mailed to me (how's that for service!). Since I don't live in the UK and don't want to muck around with special download mgrs. (something always seems to go wrong & then my PC starts acting up), I decided that I can wait a few days for the rerun.
Thanks for all the advice, though; much appreciated.

I kinda like how it shows that earth CAN fight off alien threats when there isn't a timelord handy, but they're just really really shit at it.
Surely you mean "we", unless... WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM? :weird:
;)
Loved it, the ending was a bit weak though compared to the rest. I also thought it was odd that all were rejoicing, was thinking the army would have proceeded with the children harvesting since no-one had ordered them otherwise just yet.
Doctor Who spoiler: For a moment after
the explosion of the Hub I have to say I thought that's how Jack
had prematurely become the face of Boe. I didn't think his immortality went
that far. :o
I also thought that with that ever-shrinking staff Torchwood as an "Institute" was pretty much closed. As a series finale it's quite decent, they can go from there with some of the new characters or not do anything else, it could go either way.
