I might be mistaken here, but the first time I played the game, I had no idea what those little white vials were. I remember in the 'Ton Hotel, the room with the dead junkies, I took too much zyme and I died with them. So taking too much zyme does have an effect... I think...

I suppose the drugs are disappointing, but I was disappointed that I never really got my dance. All I got was some annoying chick following me around. And that woman dancing on the table, I played a game a couple of years ago called Dark Earth. Now that had an memorable exotic dancer and it had a cheat code so your character would unzip and pee on command, no doubt would have impressed the door lady at the Lucky Money.

I think that in Deus ex two they should either have more government cons. with backing like Dr. lloyd V. Bernker and people like that... yeah. OR something like call of cuthulu (sorry I can't spell) with that helpless facotr, and really cool gods... come to think of it ALex having a sanity rating that slowly weakens depending on what you do would be REALLY cool too! Well that's my thoughts

Since taking Crack deadens any pain you feel for a while, perhaps Zyme could make you immune to tranq darts and so on for a limited duration - the downside being you couldn't sneak because you made too much noise, and you had hallucinations and so on.
ICEBreaker on 25/6/2002 at 02:16
I don't know exactl what type of drugs zyme is, but from the effects it has on the player, I'd say taking zyme should make one more susceptable to tranq darts, not the other way round.
King Ronald on 25/6/2002 at 17:03
Hmm. Well, I do know that taking more than one type of drug at a time can create a different effect instead of if you had just taken one of them. If JC is always taking drugs, than his body should develop a higher tolerance to drug injections - thusly, the Tranq dart shouldn't be as bad.
ICEBreaker on 26/6/2002 at 04:04
Ha ha, no you got it all wrong. Yes, a combination of drugs could create undesirable effects, not weaken the effect. In this case, the combined effects should make JC even more dizzy and confused! As for built up tolerance, it only works if zyme is from the same class of drugs as the drugs used in the tranq darts, which is highly unlikely. What you are saying is like trying to become tolerant of chilli sauce by regularily drinking orange juice!

Damn.
