In System Shock 1 you got different drug effects. Trioptinum knew hot to party.:tsktsk: :tsktsk:  Oh hey you should be able to get fucked up with a bunch of different drugs. Like acid, crack, Zyme and weed. And the effects should be realistic. Like Jc Denton lok at Bob Page and sees the devil and looks at a lawyer and sees a snake.

Could be cool, but would be weird if it was overdone - you don't get addicted after trying pot once....
Another interesting thing to think about - JC's mind interfaces with the nanites and the comms link. What would happen with that if he was tripping?

Anybody try using the Ambrosia vial on the boat? What happened?

Strange... nothing happens.
tguy on 23/4/2002 at 06:15
Oh.
Well, go and smoke 10 packs of cigs in about 2 seconds, that'll kill ya.;)
ICEBreaker on 23/4/2002 at 07:38
Unless I have regen on! Ha ha ha.
By the way "Strange... nothing happens" is the message which comes up when you take the Ambrosia.

Deus Ex 2 needs ether. But we'll need a Las Vegas level to put it to good use.

Taking enough drugs should cause J.C. to think there are people after him. After taking a few vials of zyme you hear footsteps behind you, you turn around, and BAM there is a guy right there with a gun on you and he starts to fire. Something to scare the hell out of you. The guy isn't actually real, but he sure looks and sounds real. Or perhaps drugs could cause multiple images of each AI to appear so that each AI looks like 3 AI's standing next to each other and which image is real is totally random so it makes it very hard to fight effectively.

Just pointing out that if you metabolised alcohol extremely rapidly, you wouldn't get drunk at all. You would just move straight over into the hangover.
