I converted the Textures in dds and all work fine.

Mmm... well. I am currently redesigning all of the textures on Illustrator, creating new ones too. I'll export them to DDS then.

Absolutely usefull for me. I think texturing is one of the last step, so have only one family whit inside all the colors and sizes speed up the building process.
At the same time i have a basic idea of what will be the final appearance.
I use "the colors" even in the modelling software for the same reason.
I hope you understand what i means... my english is very bad. Sheesh...

I'm having a odd issue. I was all hyped to start speed building and installed this by dropping it into a FAM folder. ALT+T and loaded, ready to go. There hasn't been any issues with any texture but now this one:

https://i.imgur.com/8FRLxBB.png..Keeps disappearing. What ever I place it on, next load of .cow it appears as jorge. I don't get it at all. This breaks my brain. Portalizing before saving .cow doesn't mater. There's nothing in monolog when open .cow back up. Nothing weird in the hierarchy.

https://i.imgur.com/BoWoOL8.pngI didn't drag any of these dev textures into a hierarchy categories because they don't need it afaik. The others are staying put anyway. I thought it was some weird limit and added tons more textures and saved cow, just this texture stripped out.

The best I can guess is that it something with my new laptop (not nice or new just a cannibalized on slightly better than my main laptop.) I started this after migrating to it. But my original mission seems to load fine. Unless I'm missing something obvs. I am busted tired.

That family and its textures all have very long names. There used to be a limit of 80 characters for the full path+filename of any given texture, and I think it may still be present in NewDark. You might check that length and if it's over 80, try renaming the family and/or the textures.

That seems to be it. I thought about that, but then though how did it not come up before on this thread after various revisions, it is very surprising.
Went from
C:\Thief2 buried\FAM\dledtk122\dledtk_sp_8x8_scale.png
to
C:\Thief2 buried\FAM\dledtk122\scale.spng
and worked. Now I have to batch rename the folder. Thanks Yandros!

Anyone else having an issue with this pack, where the 3d viewport is shredded and see randomly see through, if you process lighting? I have 3d graphics enabled in my viewport. I was thinking about complex scene, but one of my earlies saves does it. Also just any other textures, OM Jorge or custom, doesn't do this. It's mostly the white grid that does it.
Edit: Meh uninstall, too many issues.
