There's nothing wrong with game-related merchandise, you don't see me making fun of the Thief shirt. Hell, I have a Mass Effect hoodie, which looks good, feels good and is remarkably devoid of branding, so only people who'd recognize the N7 logo will even know it's from a game. Same goes for the Jensen trenchcoat.

Would it be wise to go shopping with Thief written on you in big letters? I'd prefer something more subtle, like a small hammer logo.

Wearing it feel Thiefy or to play Thief is a bit sad really, isn't it? Once you're over 18 anyway. Below that? Hell yeah, go for it.
I have loads of game and film related t-shirts and an Aperture Science hoodie! It's really warm and just has an aperture symbol on the chest so people who know, know.
I really like the new font for Thief but I'd rather it bigger on that shirt, and without the hand. But if you want to do a proper Thief shirt... well, when I get some time I'll see what I can do.

I opened a bank account today with a Heisenberg t-shirt on. With a green He. I just started renting storage space in a big storage warehouse too.

I do have a number of geeky shirts. Particularly proud of the Dark Souls one I got, though I asked the Etsy girl I bought it from to not put YOU DIED on the back like it is by default (she made the shirts by hand.)
