oh well, necromancy or not... something to talk about.
I'm with catman ... Sometimes I just like to carry it around for fun, since it's got a pretty cool mission associated with it, and it's sort of like the prize to completing it. Using it is just the icing on the cake ... It's not a regular weapon for me by far, but I like to pull it out on occassion to slash around for the first few missions after I picked it up just for kicks, and then eventually I'll just drop it and not really miss it.

Well, try breaking lockers with the Dragon's Tooth. The normal swords do it fine, but not the DT.
Well, you'll often find some weapons will break lockers that others won't, simply because all breakable movers in DX (and many decorations) have a minimum damage threshold: if your weapon does less than that, you'll never do any damage.
Interestingly, things like autoturrets and alarmunits have a mindamagethreshold of 50, and you'll find that with master skill, a sniper rifle can destroy these, but a DTS CAN'T (despite doing far more damage than the rifle).
This is because the base damage of the DTS is actually 20 (the rifle is 25), but unlike the rifle, it's a cone based area of effect: essentially, it does 20 damage FIVE times.
Hitting turrets, with master skill (x2 damage), your rifle now does the required 50, whereas the DTS's 200 damage is coming in 5 packets of 40, none of which are enough to damage the turret.
(This is why you need to turn on combat strength as well)
But, see, now this is what I don't understand. Your argument would have merit if the sword had a higher base damage but no cone effect (mimicking the rifle in my above example)...but: it doesn't. I just checked: The sword does 10 damage, according to the coding, while the DTS does the above mentioned 20.
So...now I'm confused. Which lockers does this apparent difference apply to?

That's very interesting. I've never delved into the numbers so I didn't how it worked. The lockers I was talking about were in Hong Kong,
in the hangar where you've got to get Jock out.
I don't think it ever occurred to me to go back in there with the Dragontooth sword, especially given that I always looted the place thoroughly getting out. :erg:

Now that I think about it, neither did I. I'm trying to remember now where else I saw this, because I'm sure I'm not crazy.

Vraptor7: Is your game patched? If so, what version of the patch? I know some walkthroughs used to to mention that effect, but AFAIR that was because the authors had played the unpatched version of the game, in which DTS behaved quite differently.

I've had both the unpatched and the GOTY edition during the times I've played the game, I honestly don't remember which I was playing, I've never really tested it properly - only picked it up as assumed knowledge over the years. I don't have any saved games right now but I'll run through the GOTY some time and check it out once I come to Hong Kong.
