i know that weapon's gotten some controversy among players. some people love it to death, two quick slashes and done with this guard. others, more thiefy players, abhor it, and find it a bane of gameplay. what do you think?
i usually keep it, but just for breaking objects purposes. i don't like it for combat, too messy. i go for head shots with the pistol, or tranq darts. the laser sight does a person good.

It can hardly be described as the bane of gameplay, as you can play the game anyway you want. You're not forced to take it along.
Personally, I love it, but don't take it with me on ever game I play as that would just be boring and repetitious.

Sometimes I don't even bother picking it up, although that does make JC's remark to Max Chen "I've got it right here" a little odd sounding. Other times I take it along just for fun. Great for dispatching swimming greasels.

I love the Dragon's Tooth sword. It's not a bane of the gameplay. Deus Ex is more action oriented anyway.

Of course, it can put down a MJ12 commando with just single well aimed blow aimed at head, but tha classical sword can do the same.
Besides, you can't sneak in the darkness with DT raised, because of the blue light.

the one thing I can't get is why it occupies FOUR boxes in your inventory, when, theoretically, the blade is turned off when you are not using it.

Throw it on the ground - it's a full sized sword, glowing from the nano activity on the surface of the blade. Didn't you pay attention to the descriptions provided in the game of how the sword works? You've been deceived by a mistaken animation.

well, you dont need to pick up dragon's teeth sword from Maggie Chow's apartment. You can always find Dragon's tooth sword from any MIBs latter on, if you just knock out the MIB with electric prod or a few tranqulizer darts, either male MIB or female MIB. They all carry Dragon Tooth sword. Waltor Simons has one too.

To me, it boils down to whether you carry a GEP gun or not. The GEP takes up 8 slots. I mean you are always going to carry four things ( health, bio recharges, picks and tools) Most people carry a sniper rifle around too. So thats 8 slots gone. You'll carry at least one melee before the DTS, so thats 9 slots. Most people will keep the prod or the crossbow or both because they are handy. Maybe 10 slots dedicated.
So if you take the GEP, you are chewing up 40 percent of your remaining slots. That's alot of space.
