Dude, if you notice those changes in real-time, I applaud you.

New contacts or monitor calibration, either way might help. Not that we're talking a world of difference here, but the PC graphics are obviously sharper.

Considering that it's a pixel for pixel comparison, they've already hamstrung the pc artificially by limiting it to the resolution of the consoles. Hardly the basis for an honest comparison.

Not true. I gave her Cone of Cold and she was way more useful. Freeze a group of enemies and then use her boulder spell to shatter one. I wasn't even using any health or mana potions in most fights after that.
Cone of cold is one of the best spells in the game. She probably would work better with pure manual activation, though that's a lot more labor in trivial battles.
As for shapeshifting, it is largely useless, except for maybe the bug form when you're just walking, since it is so much faster. Sadly, the other mage specializations aren't really any better.
The paralyze tree....well, I'd would go all the way to mass paralyze. The fact it's got a casting time and requires line of sight hurts it's utility. Sleep tends to me more useful, especially if followed up with horror and waking nightmare.
Grease should be in every mages spellbook, provided they have at least one fire spell. A no casting time, area affect tier 2 slow, that also combos into area affect damage is too good to pass up.

I heard Arcane Warrior was really broken if you know what you're doing. They can get more armor than any warrior in the game with spells like Stone Armor. I'm going to try that out next game.

Probably lots of armor, but that's not as helpful as you might think. Activating the mode alone eats up a bucketload of your mana, then all the fatigue penalties mean you won't be getting much out of the mana you have left. Then add on maintains for the shield spells, and you're left with nothing but swinging a sword - and while you'll be decent at the basic attacks, you won't have anything beyond them. Plus, you'll need that armor, since you won't have much in the way of hitpoints.

oh christ I just got the sex scene with Morrigan and I haven't laughed this hard since playing Psychonauts.
Phatose on 18/11/2009 at 06:11
Which sex scene with Morrigan? I think there are like four of them.

please rate the sideboob on a scale of 1 to 10

The first sex scene at the camp. The fact that my character has a face like Abraham Lincoln and a mustache like a boomerang might have contributed somewhat.

Playing it now as human rogue.
I'm wondering why they haven't yet included the conversation line "you must be boiling hot standing right next to that fire all day".
