well....I for one can't wait for Dragon Age.
Ditto, I want to see if it lives up to the BioWare rep of great RPGs:D

Same here.
I just came back from hounding a local store about the pre-order. Guess I would have to travel to my island-country IT centre to get the pre-order done.
Hoping that:
1) I can still find the PC CE version available for pre-order
2) I don't need a credit card for it.
Y'know, I never paid attention to DA:O up til the last month or two. I was just waiting for Mass Effect 2 and the GOTY version of Fallout 3 ... Then there was this 'Blood Dragon Armour' tie-in between DA:O and ME2, and I start clicking on the link, reading, watching videos ... :erg: ... and there goes the budget for Fallout 3: GOTY.

Surely you make a decision as to wether you want to BUY games or not by reading reviews or playing demos, and comparing them to your personal tastes.
If then it does not sound interesting, you dont purchase it.
Since I use a rental plan, I typically decide whether or not to buy (ie, "keep it" option) based on how good it is, and whether I think it has enough longevity or replay value to merit that price.

Only to then follow it up with "nah, games aren't like shoes at all!"
Next on TTLG, N'Al hears elephants are "as big as a bus". Wonders how nature could develop a diesel engine and pneumatic doors.

see some reviewers that claim to have played many RPGs TOTALLY SUCK at this game:
(
http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-dragon-age-origins/17-1477/)
at least you can see some party action, 100s of pages of skilltrees and the especially bad AI. which is still better than the guy playing.
combat looks nice but I'll wait for a cheaper price since all the surrounding media (voiceovers, characters and art) look sub-par sofar (imo).

Don't be silly, Kokes, he'd still be in with the rest of us wondering how nature could develop you.

That, and a (
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/sacred-ashes-dragon-age/57551) new trailer, full CGI. Looks so incredibly generic it could be a trailer for absolutely any other BioWare medieval fantasy game just as well. And you know what? That BioWare have an obsession with making armour look like tacky tinfoil suits rejected by the Battlestar Galactica crew I've gotten used to, but Christ, why does the fucking
dragon in a teaser for
Dragon Age look like a smoother version of what you'd lift from a Lego set?

full CGI
Not worth discussing in the slightest then.

When it comes to CGI Bioware isn't exactly Blizzard or Squeenix or Blur. That trailer's competently done, but commits the error of telegraphing every single moment by ripping off just about every major fantasy movie trope ever.
Slick and detailed but artificial, just like the, uh, strangely shiny dragon.
Anyway, I just realised that the person behind the voice for the black-haired shapeshifting babe is Claudia Black.
Claudia.
Black.
This changes everything. I might just have to adjust my expectations to GIMME IT NAUW DAMN YOOOOUUU.
