1. You completely ignored my post. I assume you have a snarky rebuttle to that too? By my logic, your "library" example is completely irrelevant, given that you have to consume a certain amount of (presumably fun) game before you get there.
2. Shoes *do* change after use (though what relevance this has, I'm not sure).
3. There are quite a lot of games that last for more than 10 hours (I would be very surprised if Dragon Age was anywhere near that short). Again, not really sure how this is relevant?

It's pretty damn logical. When you buy shoes, you don't just pick the ones that look good and go to the register, you also try them on. Why you people can't comprehend it is beyond me.

Too bad shoes last for two years, and don't change with use.
Flip-flops are shoes too!

Yeah, well, cool example.
It was your (

So I don't know what your argument is, other than "This moral high ground adds +5 to my agility".
That games are like any other form of entertainment - teaser's free, full thing's not. You get to see a trailer before you pay for the cinema ticket. You get to see her in the window or on the corner before you bump uglies. But once you got through party land, you don't try telling her big, cuddly friend that you should get a refund because she was a bucket.

Speaking from personal experience, Osty bro? ;)

I completely ignored your post because it's subjective as fuck. Some people play a game once. Some people play a game thrice. Some people never finish games at all. Some people, after playing the entire game, will not have enough conviction to buy it, as you said. Some people will. So what do you want me to say? That yes, people who warez games and then don't buy them even if they like them exist? Yes, they do! No, I don't give a damn! At least they don't change the good game sold/bad game sold ratio of the market, unlike people who buy everything that shines.

What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? Do you know what "argument by comparision" means? I said that you try shoes before you buy them, so you should to the same with games; I picked shoes only because they're in similiar price range. So I have no idea what you read. Apparently you believe games are shoes now? Well, good luck with that.

Only to then follow it up with "nah, games aren't like shoes at all!" Do
you know what "argument by comparision [sic]" means?
Flip
Koki: "Argument by comparison: games = shoes"
not Koki: Rebuttal (using your comparison, nonetheless)
Flop
Koki: "Oh yeah? Well, your comparison's shit, games != shoes"
Flip
Koki: "If I could play demos to form an opinion as to whether I should buy a game, that'd be swell!"
not Koki: "How about you treat pirated games as demos, then?"
Flop
Koki: "Oh yeah? Well, demos are shit, so up yours!"
Two MAJOR flops in a row, well done.
Just grow some goddamn balls and admit you're pirating games cause you're a fucking cheapskate.

Hmmm...
*Reads recent posts*
Guess no one talks about the thread's original purpose anymore....oh well....I for one can't wait for Dragon Age.

Surely you make a decision as to wether you want to BUY games or not by reading reviews or playing demos, and comparing them to your personal tastes.
If then it does not sound interesting, you dont purchase it.
At no point should piracy come into it.
Simple as.
