NWN2 was terrible and
BG1 and 2 never really appealed to me(I need something to fill that Bioware Fantasy RPG void).
This has elements of both games and is unlikely to screw up(gameplay-wise).
I fail to follow your logic.

Indeed it does have elements of both games, like a party system, turn based combat, romance options, loot, and.
Oh, wait, sorry, maybe all RPG's are just bad because they have the same elements as NWN2.

No, I meant, if he didn't like BG and he didn't like NWN2 why he hopes for a game which he thinks is the two combined?

Because it looks promising and the features that were advertised looks interesting but I won't know for sure until I try it myself. Plus Bioware has rarely disappointed me when it comes to RPGs(ME for example was really enjoyable for me aside from the bugs which is more of a QA issue).

CD-Action review: 8+ (playability 9, graphics 7, sound 9)
Bottom line: feels oldschool, looks meh, good story and atmosphere, good -though hard- combat with a tactical edge, good character progression possibilities. Alternate mini-review gives it 9

But what about blood and sex?
van HellSing on 5/10/2009 at 19:14
Sex as much as Mass Effect, excessive violence isn't mentioned at all. Grimdark atmosphere is.
Plus side, playing an evil character is apparently more viable than usually.

I'm holding my opinion on this one til some more word gets out about it. Everything I've seen so far seems decidedly fair to middling totally average. With so many great games coming out right now, it'll take alot of people frothing at the mouth with joy around here to get me to pick it up before it hits the bargain bins.

It's the epic fantasy RPG with dragons I've so been waiting for for ever since BG II. And it is going to be epic. Because it has dragons. And, uh, sex.
Violence isn't so much a turn-on, unless we're talking about having it along with various combinations of the above.
As long as Dragon Age has a good fantastic story and questing and gameplay in the style of the Bioware of Olde and ye goodly Infinitye Engyne, I'm in.

That's the catch though: It doesn't.
Instead you get blood on your armor when you kill a rat. And sex.
