FleshLoader will be to Thief 3 what DarkLoader is to Thief 1+2, and more. This release is just a primitive interface preview. When I finish the actual code to install/uninstall FMs I'll put up a fully functional version. Make any comments/suggestions in this thread, thanks. This will run in any version of windows.
Currently it loads up the TTLG forums by default in the box that will display the FM HTML descriptions. It also runs in Linux.
This should not require any extra runtime DLLs. If you encounter errors please let me know.
Enjoy. (Soon you'll truly be able to enjoy it when I finish the installation/removal code.)
Announcement: I will be using a .INI file format for FM info with the extension of .fmi. You can find a sample in the download.

Please also post any suggestions for additional features besides the basic DarkLoader functions.
Already planned is an Auto-Update system for FleshLoader.
I'd also like to add an RSS ticker or something that will list all the newest FMs that are on thief-thecircle.com or something. (Any thief site hoster/moderator want to create and maintain the ticker for that?)

Looks great, dracflamloc! :D
The only thing I noticed that seemed off to me was the text down the left side of the screen; Progress, Rating, Last Played, Author and Your Notes. They seemed a little too close to the edge of my screen. It caught my eye because, scanning the window, I felt like there was text being cut off. Drew my eyes like a magnet! :erm: Spacing it like the text "FM Title" in the top left button would look much better... In my opinion... Or maybe it's just me. (cough, cough)
Anyhow, GREAT JOB!!! :thumb:
I've got XP on my other computer. I'll try it out there when I get back to the hotel and let you know how it looks.

I'm running FleshLoader from XP and it looks fine. In fact, I'm typing this message from within Fleshloader.

It looks excellent, and it's working fine in XP for me. Is the browser window IE? I'd like to know because IE is such a pain to write CSS stuff for.

It does use the IE renderer for HTML. Although why you'd need any fancy CSS for an FM description is beyond me. :)

RSS ticker would be great. It's hard to keep up with what new missions have or have not been released w/o combing through thread after thread or website. Users will be more up to date on what has been released.
Very nice idea. :thumb:

Looks good to me, and no .net requirement :thumb:

Do you know what format the mission information is going to be in yet? As a CS major, these kinds of things are more interesting to me than they should be. What language are you writing it in?
As for suggestions, you should put static text boxes next to the sliders so you can tell what they are set too, especially for the mission rating.

Running FleshLoader from XP Pro, it's looking good! :thumb:
