154 MB...am I mad? Probably, but I don't know much about the game and want to form my own opinion before spending or squandering my money on it.

About 6.5 hours when I did it. I left it overnight.
Of course, having a download manager doesn't hurt. And I thought it was well worth tying up the phone line during the wee hours of the morning.

I downloaded it with my 56k just over the past couple of days.
I have never played any of the other games it supposedly based on, so I know nothing of it, I only decided to download it after reading Digital Nightfall's announcement, and wondered what type of game it was.
I was very suprised to see that it was a first person RPG, looking very nice at that, although it took me over half an hour trying to get out my cell, and trying to figure out controls (I couldnt equip any weapons) I was amazed at the amount of detail that has gone into creating this, once I sorted out the controls and learned how to accomplish tasks, It all semed to flow nicely.
I was quite unhappy when it ended, I wanted to play more. Ill just have to play the demo again and again.
