Wow, it was just a suggestion.

And a bad one at that. I'm not certain just how bad, since I've never used Webwhacker, but website downloaders in general are notorious for wasting bandwidth and putting strain on the servers.

Fair enough, I've never used one so I wouldn't know.

MM, you didn't have to be an ass about it.
Anyway, thanks.. but have you used either of those? (offline downloader or HTTtrack?) They want to download the whole frikin' forum, but all I want is ONE thread. Seems like more trouble than its worth, but thanks anyways.:erg: (I just did web complete and downloaded both pages of the thread)

The only difference between Web Archive and Web Page, Complete is that the former saves the entire page - images and all - to a single rather than a folder, which can be useful for storage (but not for editing the file...)
In any case, just save each of the pages as Web Page, Complete (which will put the images into folders with the same name), and then open each in turn in a good text editor and combine the appropriate bits.
The actual thread post data is between these two lines:
and
HTML:
<div id="lastpost"></div></div>
So simply copy that section for each page other than the first one, and paste it in just before that closing line in the first page.
Then open the amalgamated page and save it again, as Web Page, Complete, to put all the images from all the pages' folders into one folder.
Should work. Haven't tested it.

Images would be cool. None of them are saved on my hard drive. Even some of the buttons and most of the smilies are missing. The Mapping Out The City thread was saved in 3 seconds.

Yep that is what I did already, I know.
Ok, I think I see what you mean. Take page 2's post data, post it in underneath page 1's data, and then resave it by looking at it in firefox as webpage complete to make one folder. RIght?

The MS' web archive format, MHT, is supported by Firefox via (
http://maf.mozdev.org/) MAF. The program is quite old and not natively compatible with versions of Firefox newer than v1.5, but that is easily fixed by altering one line (max version) of the install.rdf inside the XPI archive.
(
http://rapidshare.com/files/77403183/maf-0.6.3.xpi.html) Here, I've done it for you. Enjoy being able to save MHT's from Firefox.

Open it in Firefox.
Right-click the xpi, select Open With and choose Firefox.
